Fertilizing
At Microfauna, our goal is to maximize nutrient consumption and reduce leaching into our waterways. Benefiting both your gardens and the environment.
-
By specially selecting from a variety of granular and liquid fertilizers, our team will pick the perfect combination to create more nutrient rich soils and in return happier healthier plants.
-
Each garden is fertilized using differing macronutrient ratios based on soil tests, time of year and type of plant. This care reduces the amount of leaching so no nutrients go to waste.
-
These specialized practices keep your garden at its healthiest, allowing plants to have maximum nutrient intake while keeping our waterways clean and allowing the natural ecosystem to be just that… natural.
Plants are dependent on 16 nutrients for plant growth. These nutrients are separated into three groups, macronutrients, secondary nutrients and micronutrients. Macronutrients are the most commonly seen, abbreviated as N-P-K. Though macronutrients are often depicted as the most important nutrients, all nutrients are needed in a complex balance to provide healthy plants. We provide analysis to determine which nutrients your soils are lacking and how to efficiently introduce them in a way that are best suited for your gardens plants.
